SenseCrowd - Security & Public Safety
Crowd emotion sensing is a powerful tool that can help security departments identify suspicious persons of interest.
Criminal decision making under conditions of uncertainty is often guided by the individual’s emotional process, individual risk and protective factors. Emotion analytics can be used to identify possible scenarios for risk management and mitigation.
It can be used to detect the coalescence of aggressive groups and to provide an early warning of the likelihood of abnormal behaviour. Detecting the individual’s affective state such as heightened emotional arousal can alert security personnel to the likelihood of an aggressive behavioural response to an emotionally charged situation. Individuals with weak empathy, shame and guilt are more likely to commit acts of violence.
