The human body is capable of expressing a vast array of emotions. Non-verbal cues such as facial expressions, gestures, body posture and vocal tone are all used in combination to send messages. These unconscious non-verbal cues convey emotions that are more genuine and of higher accuracy because they are unfiltered and unbiased.
The human face in particular is a rich canvas of emotion.
With only a standard webcam or video source, Opsis scientifically measures and analyses facial expressions using sophisticated computer vision algorithms and machine learning techniques. Our software tracks the head and facial features responsible for expressions and maps them in real time.
Instead of assigning expressions to discrete categories, Opsis synthesises emotions in continuous space. This enables the emotional data to be more precise and expressed in greater granularity.
Opsis also intends to implement speech and gesture analysis in the near future.
